An educational event was organized at Expressbank on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day. The event took place with the support of the Azerbaijan Autism Association within the framework of "Autism Month."
The event was attended by Sona Aliyeva, Vice President of the Association; Elnur Mammadli, Chairman; Urfan Mammadli, Head of the Public Relations Department and TV presenter; and Ilham Osmanli, Sports Director.
As part of the event, Ilham Osmanli, the Association's Sports Director, conducted a seminar for Expressbank employees on the ethics of behavior toward individuals with autism in society. During the seminar, practical recommendations were provided regarding the importance of a sensitive approach when communicating with individuals with autism, respecting their individual characteristics, and creating an inclusive environment. The participants' questions were also addressed. The event was organized in an interactive format, with participants actively discussing the topic and sharing their views.
Subsequently, a general educational presentation on autism spectrum disorder was held, explaining core concepts, growth statistics, and current approaches to the participants.
It should be noted that this initiative is another example of the importance Expressbank places on the formation of an inclusive society. By consistently supporting such projects within its social responsibility framework, the bank contributes to promoting respect for differences and equal opportunities in society.
In addition to being another initiative organized by the Bank to support inclusivity, this event demonstrates Expressbank's ongoing commitment to initiatives in this direction. Last year, the Bank hosted young people with Down syndrome at its Head Office to introduce them to the working environment, aiming to support their integration into society.
