The management and staff of Expressbank, remaining faithful to the traditions, held another campaign for blood donation. The action, held on March 12, 2019 at the Express Development Center, is organized with the aim of providing voluntary and disinterested help to children suffering from blood disease. The action, which is constantly held in the country at the initiative of the Federation of Thalassemia of Azerbaijan and the Blood Donors Association, 40 bank employees voluntarily donated blood.
It should be noted that since 2005, on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the program “In the name of life without thalassemia” has been operating. Currently in Azerbaijan there are over 2,000 people prone to thalassemia and other hereditary blood diseases, whose life depends on blood donation actions. Expressbank, which pays special attention to corporate social responsibility, constantly keeps on the agenda the organization and support of various charitable events.
Note that the Expressbank service network consists of 15 branches. 9 of them are in the cities of Baku and Sumgayit, and 6 - in the cities of the republic - Ganja, Mingachevir, Barda, Gusar, Khachmaz and Shirvan. The bank has over 70 ATMs, more than 5,000 POS terminals and about 700 ExpressPay payment terminals in the country.
